We are stronger together, have more impact together, and have more fun together! We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded Head of Finance to evolve current systems, processes, and procedures to help Angel City grow on and off the field.
The Head of Finance will set our financial strategy, guide long-term financial forecasting, planning, and budgeting, and will be charged with designing and delivering effective financial systems across the organization.
The Head of Finance will work alongside our executive leadership team and investors to support capital funding, infrastructure development and serve as an advocate for financial decisions that support the company's strategic goals.
As Angel City embarks upon its next phase of growth and development, the Head of Finance will serve as a true strategic business partner, providing strong and accurate financial guidance to steer decisions.

Responsibilities Strategic Financial Management Drive the company's strategic plan and financial planning Optimize cash flows to ensure maximum effectiveness for the organization's operations Create multi-year, multi-variable financial models and pro forma financial statements Evaluate and set processes and procedures for monthly/quarterly forecasts, corporate planning, and budgeting process.
Ensure month, and year-end general ledger is accurate and closed in a timely manner in compliance with US GAAP.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on issues affecting the organization, i.

, evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and/or mergers and investments Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting budgets Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, founders, the Board, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities Risk Management and Corporate Governance Perform risk management by evaluating the organization's liabilities and investments; ensure legal & regulatory compliance is followed for all financial functions Refine and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and systems Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations Serve as the executive liaison to the Board committee; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at Board of Directors and committee meetings Capital Management Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure Develop organization prospects by studying economic and industry trends and revenue opportunities Establish a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs Provide corporate governance to cross-functional partners in real estate procurement and expansion projects Team Leadership and Development Hire and build out a finance and accounting department based on the needs of the business League Related Be the main financial liaison between the Club and the League, including:
Attending monthly meetings Provide requested financial information Ensure all league payments (for fees and player's compensation) are accurate and paid promptly Manage the ticket sale process, ensuring accurate accounting of all revenue Working with General Manager, ensure all player compensation paid by the league are accurate Understand the player's Collective Bargaining Agreement to ensure all financial transactions are within these guidelines Assist with all lease negotiations:
Training facility Player's housing Stadium facility Manage player and staff per diem travel requirements Requirements Bachelor's Degree; CPA and/or MBA preferred 8
years' experience as a Director of Finance, VP of Finance, or Chief Financial Officer in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; prior experience at a sports or technology company is strongly preferred Experience in finance for a multi-site organization Broad strategic financial experience, including success serving as a team leader, overseeing audit processes, and experience planning and managing budgets for a startup with operations in excess of $20 million per year Excellent understanding of financial accounting, with proven success in creating financial models, managing reporting, and ensuring proper control and audit processes, preferably with an organization going through rapid growth Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements, system overhauls, and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness Collaborative approach to managing relationships at the executive level, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet goals and drive growth, impact, and organizational performance Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate well Experience with cost-effective management of financial systems and platforms Experience and knowledge in risk management and evaluation Personal qualities of integrity and ethics Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances Experience with Quickbooks and Xero ACFC Perks & Benefits Fully funded comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401K plan Flexible PTO policy Paid Parental Leave Cell Phone reimbursement Snacks and beverages Dog-Friendly HQ in Santa Monica Complimentary tickets to home games Bi-annual performance reviews Compensation In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $150-$200k.
This pay range represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay.
The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee.
We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
