Overview:
TRC is seeking an Associate for its Compliance Team.
This person will be a detail-oriented individual interested in clean energy, innovative transportation technologies, and improving air quality.
The Associate will work with commercial fleet operators and OEMs to comply with California mobile source regulations.
In these efforts, you will not be alone.
The Programs Department is the nations number one grant writing and market development team.
Because CARB regulations are intricately interrelated to these areas of expertise, we have been involved with the regulations since they were initially conceived in 2000.
In addition to assisting our clients to stay ahead of the regulations in the most cost-effective manner, we are often sought out to help fleets that have run into problems trying to comply with the complex regulations.
This new role will help bring this crucial expertise to other struggling fleets that in many cases dont even know that the regulations exist until the auditor shows up at their facility.
This is an entry-level role for someone interested in working with the suite of CARB regulations (T-B, T-B Hired Fleets, ACT, SWCV, ICT, PSIP, TRU, LSI, PERP, SB1, etc.
) as well as the EPA and ARB audit processes.
Selected candidate will review and compare 400 vehicle types at any time; must be comfortable working with large data and analyze information to present to leadership and clients.
Responsibilities:
Support project planning and 18-month projection Participate in different regulatory projects governances and providing local, industry feedback when required Support new business opportunities from existing client base Support compliance reporting and providing regular feedback to management Collaborate with Compliance team to develop new services Analyze large number of vehicle types compare and document data
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in public policy, Business, Project Management and/or related field preferred Exceptional writing, research, communication, organizational, analytical, customer service, presentation, and project management skills Must be comfortable analyzing data and documents Interest and knowledge in compliance and regulatory environments Flexibility - quickly adapt to changing needs of business.
Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Work Location This position will require the successful candidate to work in Santa Monica, CA with a hybrid remote work schedule available at the Manager's discretion.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
